Intermediate to advanced skiing women looking for an easy to fit boot love the Salomon X-Pro X80 W CS. Salomon's 360 Degree Custom Shell can easily be adapted for most foot shapes by an Authorized Salomon Dealer. A bootfitter will heat the shell in a special oven and set the boot on your feet. As the shell cools down it will start to adapt to the shape of your foot for a comfortable and supportive fit. The Twinframe 2 Construction uses a stiffer plastic on the sole of the boot that reduces torsional twisting to improve your responsiveness and power when you are skiing fast. Salomon's 24mm Oversized Pivot provides a beefy connection between the upper cuff and lower shell to drive more energy to your skis. A Women's Specific Liner and Women's Calf Adjustment keep the female foot securely in place and gives you some fine tuning for how the boot fits across your calf muscle. If you want a boot that will feel like it was made just for you, the Salomon X-Pro X80 CS will be the perfect choice.

Q: My wife is looking for new boots & really likes these ! The problem is she has a 31 cm circumference calf which makes most boots fit to tight on calf? She is 5'3” tall with a boot size of 25.5 , foot width is 9cm , instep is medium. Would these boots fit her comfortably?

A: Length and width do not seem to be an issue. The calf volume on the X-Pro 80 CS can be adjusted out to accommodate a large calf. I do not have the exact measurements though. You will need to remove the cuff buckles with an included allen wrench and move them out to the further position. Once this is done, have her stand in a skiing position for a longer period of time to see how they feel. Calf volume can be a little tricky depending on the skiers individual leg shape and tolerance.

Q: So, we just got my wife new boots and went with the X-Pro 90W. After the purchase, we are unsure she should go that stiff on her second year skiing (her first boot was a 70 that had a mirage of other issues). My question is that in the Women's Xpro line up, the 80 has "extra characters" The full model for the 80 is Xpro X80 CS W, the rest of the line up is Xpro 70W, Xpro 90W and Xpro 100W. So the 80 has a leading X and a trailing CS. Anyone know what is up with that? We are convinced that the Xpro will be a good fit, but are considering coming down to the 80, just want to make sure it is the same since REI only has the 80 online and the 90 in store. Thanks.

Know the answer? Answer this question

A: The X in the title before the flex number and CS after designates that this model has the US colorway. The European model has a different colorway for some reason in the 80 flex. The fit and features are the same.
