Salomon's QST 90 make a great ski boot for the intermediate skier looking for a lightweight and highly mobile boot that best fits a medium to narrow forefoot shape, and medium to narrow leg shape. Salomon's new Surelock Mechanism unhinges the upper cuff from the lower shell for a high amount of mobility for easy walking on any type of terrain. The Endofit Tongue is free-flexing that delivers a smooth and natural flex as you cruise down the mountain. A Waterproof Gusset prevents any water from seeping into the shell. A 24mm Oversized Pivot drives extra energy towards your ski for added control over modern wider and rockered skis.

Q: Is the boot heat moldable? I saw a pair in a store and it didn't look like the liner can come apart from the shell, yet it's listed as having My Custom Fit 3D so just wanted to make sure.

Know the answer? Answer this question

A: Yes the liner is removable. The heel and ankle pocket is the most susceptible to the heat molding process for the most customization. The other parts of the liner will also break in a little quicker after heat molding.

Q: Are these the updated version of the Quest Pro 90? Why do the 2016 Pro 90s say they are for Adv Int to Expert skill. And these 2017 QST Pro 90s say they are for Int to Adv Int skill?

Know the answer? Answer this question

A: This is an updated and totally redesigned boot from the Quest Pro 90. The fit, performance and features are geared towards a slightly different skier.

Q: With the light weight of the boot there is obviously less material in the boot. It is going to be a "colder" boot and not as good a choice for someone prone to cold feet.
Asked : Jan 28, 2017
By : lc, Menominee, MI
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: The thickness of the shell has little to do with the insulation of a boot. Salomon uses a strong synthetic insulation in the liner and a waterproof gusset to add warmth to the QST line.
