Rocker/Camber/Rocker skis for versatile all-mountain
The QST 106, one of the best-selling freeride skis from Salomon comes with a new construction, new technologies and new shape this season. A full length poplar wood core teams up with the Ti Power Platform in the full sandwich construction. A new tip to tail blend of carbon fiber and basalt for increased power and edge grip. A pure flax laminate was placed directly underfoot and added Cork Damplifier technology in the tip and tail creating an unmatched stable snow feel. Wrapped all up into a new shape that offers smoother turn initiation, better floatation and more confidence in steeper terrain. A ski that's great for a skier who is looking for a one ski quiver freeride option.

Hi, I'm Adam and I just got off the Salomon QST 106. This ski has been around for a little while, but it's received a couple of updates this season. Adding a little bit of cork into the tip just really dampens out vibrations and really smooths it out. Salomon CFX super fiber really gives the ski a lot of energy and stability, while keeping it very light on your feet. At 106 millimeters under foot, it's ideally for off piste skiing, but if you got to get into the groomers and just rip a couple of turns, it's great for that too. If you're a strong intermediate to expert level skier who wants something that truly does it all, this is a great option for ya.Hide

Hi, I'm Dan. I just got done riding the Salomon QST 106. 106 under foot is a very versatile ski. It gets up on edge really easy, holds an edge, no problem. It's playful enough that you can go play with it in the trees, wide enough that you can play in the deep snow with it. I would say, it's a little lackluster as far as the core of it. It's not super stiff, it's not very aggressive. It's just really easy and forgiving. So for someone that's looking for more of an easy cruiser, that's a little bit wider, this is a great way to go. I would say anyone that's more of an advanced rider, might feel a little bit of the chatter at high speed on this ski, but anyone that wants an all-mountain kind of powder ski, that's an intermediate to more advanced rider should be looking at the Salomon QST 106.Hide

Hi, I'm Thom. I just got done skiing the Salomon QST 106. This is one of my all-time favorite skis. Alright, 106 definitely lends itself to being an off-trail, all-mountain ski. If somebody is looking to slay powder, crud, bumps and just wants a daily driver for mostly off-trail skiing, this is a fantastic option. However, it's still got enough sidecut, enough grip that when you get onto firm snow, the thing just gets up onto edge and rails a turn. It's not gonna do short, snappy fall line turns on groomers, but if you want big, arching, ripping GS turns, it's absolutely a great ski. But where it really shines is when you get off-trail. Little bit of powder, little bit of crud, little bit of bumps, the rocker profile really let's the ski come to life. You can skid it, you can smear it, you can slash it. Just incredibly versatile, incredibly fun. They added some cork to the tip of this ski this year, so it's even more damp, but the CFX keeps it super poppy under foot. So it's a great blend between a calm and a hyper lively. It's just one of my favorite options out there for the advanced to expert skier looking for an all-mountain killer.Hide
