The Rossignol Temptation 77 is a great ski for the true beginner up to a solid intermediate skier that wants a lightweight and easy to control ski. A Carbon/Poplar Core has a lightweight and lively feeling to it, but also has that perfect mix of stability and forgiveness. Rossignol's Air Tip Construction pulls weight away from the tip of the ski to increase the amount of maneuverability you have as you cruise down the groomers. The Temptation 77 has an Extended Sidecut that allows you improved control at any speed by giving you more edge contact with the more angle you put on your edges at faster speeds, and less edge contact with the less angle you put on your edges at slower speeds. Rossignol's Auto Turn Rocker uses rocker in the tip for easy turn initiation, camber underfoot for edge grip, and rocker in the tail for easy exits from each turn. If you are an athletic beginner skier looking for a perfect investment in your first set of skis, or a skier who constantly rents, and would like an economical investment in their own set of skis, the Rossignol Temptation 77 makes a great choice.

Q: Hello, I'm a beginner progressing to early intermediate, comfortable on greens and easier blues. I mostly ski on the east coast but next winter will be spending a week out west. I'm thinking about buying my first set of skis now while there are discounts available. I'm 5'7", about 155 lbs. When I do rentals I usually have 150s. Wondering if the 152 would be a good size for me? Thank you for your advice!

A: The Temptation 77 in 152cm would be a perfect option for you. The tip and tail rocker will make the ski easier for you to ski on and make it ride a bit shorter than it measures.

Q: I'd say I'm a intermediate skier- I can get down almost any slope and enjoy doing so, just not particularly stylishly or quickly. Would you say this would be a suitable set of skis for me?
