The Rossignol Soul 7 HD takes a great skiing ski and makes it ski even better than previous models. Rossignol's new Carbon Alloy Matrix increases the edge grip on firmer snow, improves the maneuverability, and stability by using a Basalt and Carbon Fiber weave over the Paulownia Wood Core. The Soul 7 utilizes Powder Turn Rocker for a fantastic amount of flotation in soft snow, crud, and deep powder. The 106mm waist feels remarkably edgy and maneuverable when it is time for you to lay down some medium to long radius turns on the groomers. Rossignol's Air Tip Construction uses a honeycomb structure in the tip and tail to pull heavier material away from the extremities of the ski to lower the swingweight, and improves your control anywhere on the mountain. The Free VAS dampening system eliminates the tip wobble that many heavily rockered skis have, to give you one smooth and easy to ski ride that loves the fresh snow, but can give you your money's worth anywhere on the mountain. Find out while this ski has been a favorite for so many skiers for so many reasons.

I'm 5'10", 165 lbs, and bought these in the 172 length - skied them in Beaver through crud, heavy new snow, groomed, bumps and 12" fresh powder, and loved them!! Really light under foot, even with the 106 width. They roll on edge easily and...Read More

I am very pleased with the way these ski on groomed trails. I had low expectations for these skis on packed trails but got them for soft snow and off trail skiing. They carve well and do not chatter and twist as previous models of Soul 7'...Read More

Wide waisted shaped skis at home off piste in crud or powder, but also responsive on groomed runs. Stable at moderate to high speeds.

Q: i heard that this ski chatters a bit when at high speeds and in groomers. will it be as annoying as previous years, or will it be barely noticeable? Also, can it carve well like carving skis, since this is mainly a powder ski?
Asked : Dec 22, 2017
By : TK, San Jose, California
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: The Soul 7 HD will not carve like a carving ski, it simply is not designed for that. All of the aspects that make it such a fantastic powder ski do hinder it a little bit on the groomers. The addition of the Carbon Alloy Matrix added a healthy amount of rigidity when on the frontside of the mountain, but this simply is not a carving ski.

Q: If I send you my boots what will you charge to mount the bindings? I don't see 180 cm listed on your sale offering. Do I have to take one of your three sale listed sizes? I am not familiar with Konnect bindings - is this manufacturer in the U.S. or is this a specialty name from a larger manufacturer?
Asked : Nov 29, 2017
By : GD, Sacramento, CA
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: Unfortunately we are not set up to receive boots to mount skis. You will need to take them to a local shop. The sizes listed are the sizes that are available. It appears that we are sold out of the 180cm. The NX 12 Konnect binding is manufactured by Look.

Q: Are these skis twin tipped?
Asked : Nov 24, 2017
By : Rick, Plainville, MA
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: This is not a twin tip. A flared tail releases you from a turn easily and works great in powder. You can ski it backwards if you want, but not at top speed.

Q: If you are 5'8" and 200 pounds what size
Asked : Nov 03, 2017
By : Howard, Woodmere
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: There are a lot of other factors to consider than just weight and height. If you are an aggressive skier who spends the majority of your time off piste, I would say the 188cm. If you are not very aggressive and will split your time between groomers and ungroomed terrain, I say the 180cm will be the optimal size for you.

Q: As I understand the ski will be shipped with the bindings but not mounted/fixed on the ski. I can then adjust and mount the bindings according to my boot size. Am I correct?
Asked : Oct 16, 2017
By : jaba, Tbilisi
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: I would strongly encourage you to take them to a certified technician so they can properly install, adjust and release test the binding. This is a precaution taken by all certified techs to ensure that the binding functions correctly for the safety of the user.

Q: Can you please share the exact bindings model? Konect 12 Dual seems to have many different specs, etc on Rossignol's website. A little more detail would be great. Thanks.

A: These come with the NX 12 Konnect Dual that is compatible with standard alpine and WTR boot soles.

Q: Can I get the skis without the bindings?
Asked : Sep 04, 2017
By : Bob, Austin Tx
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: This is a system ski and includes the binding. The mounting track is already installed on the ski. We do currently have the 2018 Soul 7 HD without bindings available.

Q: What are the main differences between the original Soul 7 HD, the 2nd generation model and the new 2018 model? Is there really any performance difference?
Asked : Sep 02, 2017
By : Jeff, Mammoth, CA
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: The second generation of the Soul 7 HD added the Carbon Alloy Matrix to add more edge hold and more power for firmer conditions. The 2018 version has the new Air Tip 2.0 that reduces more weight and tip wobble. Each incarnation of the ski has improved how it has skied. Not that it ever skied badly.

Q: Will the Konnect 12 bindings pre-mounted on Rossignol Soul 7 180cm skis accommodate ski boots with a sole length of 293mm (Fischer Cruzar 10, size 25.5)?
Asked : Jun 04, 2017
By : Anthony, Grass Valley, CA
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: We cannot ship bindings, pre-mounted. To mount a ski we require the actual boot that is going into the bindings for proper installation, adjustment and release testing. Please understand that this is for the users safety. The Konnect Binding System can accommodate a 293mm boot without an issue.
