Rocker/Camber/Rocker skis for versatile all-mountain
The Rossignol Smash 7 is a progressive ski for the true beginner to solid intermediate skier looking to venture off piste from time to time and have a ski that rides great on the groomers. The RossiTop Cap Construction is forgiving and easy to control while maintaining a lightweight feeling. Rossignol's Freeride Rocker has a rockered tip and tail that help you roll into a turn and float in fresh snow, while the camber underfoot grips the snow when you are on piste. A Poplar Core with Fiberglass Reinforcements adds some stability when you want to pick up some speed, while still offering forgiveness as you gain confidence and control. A 92mm waist is surprisingly nimble when you are skidding and sliding some turns, getting ready to carve, with enough support for you to make your first powder turns. If you are a beginner to intermediate skier who does not want to limit themselves to the groomers, the Rossignol Smash 7 is a perfect option for you.

This was my 1st ski purchase so I wasn’t sure what to buy but some of my skilled skiing friends tried them and were impressed with how well they performed for the price.

Hi, my name's Adam, I just got done skiing the Rossignol Smash 7. This ski's back for another season, unchanged except for the graphics. This isan excellent ski for your beginner to mello wintermediate skier. It has a unique shape for it's price point as to where it's a very progressive ski. At 92mm underfoot, a little bit of rocker in the tip, a little bit of rocker in the tail. It's a great ski for you to be skiing both the groomers and start to venture off trail. If you ski at a Western resort and you're a beginner, this is a great ski for you to get off of the, like, traditional type of carving ski and narrow waisted price point skis. To where you're going to have a lot more fun with this and it's just going to be a lot easier for you to control. Bigger, heavier guys you should probably start leaning into something that's going to be a little bit stiffer, a little bit stronger, but for a tweener coming out of junior equipment, or just your mellow skier who skis at a place that gets a lot of snow, perfect option for you. Hi, I'm Thom, I just got done riding the Rossignol Smash 7, back for another year and this ski really holds a unique position in the ski world. At 92 underfoot, for a beginner to mid-intermediate ski, there's not a whole lot out there and this really stands alone. Again, it's really designed for that beginner to, getting into intermediate skier, but most skis in this category are gonna be narrow, really gonna be aimed to on trail skiing only. At 92, this has a ton of versatility. So if you're skiing somewhere you get a lot of snow, or you just have aspirations to start exploring the mountain right off the gate, it's a much better starting point. The width adds a lot of stability, it's gonna give you a little extra float in powder, crud, bumps, but it's not too wide that it can't get up and carve a turn on the hard pack. Kind of medium length to short length turns, medium to slow speeds, is really where this is gonna excel the best. But if you want to get out, you really want to start exploring the mountain as that entry level skier, it's a great place to start.Hide
