The Sky 7 HD W from Rossignol is a perfect ski for ladies looking for easy powder skiing with a ski that wants to be surfed in the deep snow and roll down the groomers. The Sky 7 HD has the Carbon Alloy Matrix which uses a blend of carbon and basalt to reduce the total weight of the ski while adding power and stability. A 98mm waist provides amazing floatation with a nimble and edgy feel when you get into the trees or want to slice down a groomer. Rossignol's Powder Turn Rocker has a heavily rockered tip that easily helps you stay on top of the powder and drift a turn when the snow is flying, but also adds a quick and easy turn initiation on firmer conditions. The new Air Tip 2.0 Construction pulls heavier material away from the extremities of the ski for a lower swingweight and easy maneuvering for fatigue free skiing on any mountain.

Q: My wife is 5'2", about 145lbs. She is an intermediate skier who likes the groomers and occasionally has to ski crud and likes some powder. She prefers to ski at a moderate rate and stays out of the bumps. Most of her time is on blue runs with the occasional black and some greens. What size of Sky 7 HD do you recommend?

A: Based on her weight, ability and skiing style I would recommend the 156cm for her in the Sky 7 HD. This would be an excellent ski for her, forgiving, stable and easy to ride in all of the conditions you have described.
