Rocker/Flat/Rocker skis for edge hold, pop and float
The Rossignol Sky 7 HD is a perfect ski for the skier looking for excellent soft snow skiing ability and can carve on the frontside of the mountain. Rossignol's Carbon Alloy Matrix is made from a blend of carbon and basalt to give the Sky 7 a solid grip on the firm snow and vibration absorption without adding extra weight to the ski. The Air Tip 2.0 Construction does a fantastic job of pulling heavier material away from the tip and tail of the ski to lower the swingweight and improve the maneuverability. The newest incarnation of the Air Tip as a reinforced structure that eliminates tip wobble that skis with a heavily rockered tip can get. Rossi's Powder Turn Rocker helps the Sky 7 HD ride great in the deep snow while feeling edgy and nimble on those days where the snowpack is keeping you on the groomers.

Hi, I'm Adam and I just got done skiing the Rossignol Sky 7. It's a great ski for that strong intermediate to advanced level skier who wants something extremely smooth and surfy on the backside of the mountain. This guy has a generous amount of rocker in the tip, good waist width that you can really, it really shines off piste. Through the beat-up snow, the powder, the bumps, the trees, this is really one of those skis that really shines off trail. On trail it does pretty well as well, but you do lose a little bit of grip and a little bit of power in the tail when the conditions get a little bit firm. Hide

Hi, I'm Thom, I just got done riding the Rossignol Sky 7. This is a great ski for that solid intermediate up through that advanced level skier that's looking for a ski that can really take them all over the hill. This thinga has a huge sweet spot and it's incredibly easy to ski, which is a unique thing for this category. It's gonna be really solid on hard pack, super easy to tilt up on edge. It prefers kinda short to medium radius turns so it's always gonna feel really in control, really composed. With the air tip in it, it's super light and easy to initiate. So there's nothing about this ski that's gonna be hard to ski or super demanding but it has just enough grit to it that it's gonna feel really stable and in control. When you take this thing off trail, the really progressive tip and tail shape allow it to smear and kinda skid around. So in bumps, light powder, crud, it's not gonna hang up on ya, it's not gonna force you to have to work this ski super hard. So again, that athletic intermediate up through that advanced level skier that just wants a fun ski to tackle the whole hill, that's not gonna tire them out at the end of the day, it's a great set of sticks. A: Look bindings would be great for this. keep the binding size range between 100-110mm for a solid fit.

Q: I'm an advanced/exprt, 5' 9", weight 220lbs. and ski a bit on the agressive side. I'm trying to decide which length to go with on these skis. With the ammount of rocker I'm leaning towards going 188. What say you?
