Tip Rocker/Camber skis for edge hold; easy turn initiation
The Rossignol Experience 84 AI is a fantastic ski for the intermediate to advanced skier looking for agility and smooth skiing on the frontside of the mountain. This ski also features LCT (Line Control Technology) which uses a full length power rail that runs down the center of the ski made from ABS material. LCT delivers better ski-to-snow contact for added stability and more responsiveness. The new Air Tip VAS uses vibration dampening materials in the tip to smooth out vibrations so you can have a clean power transfer as you transition between your edges. A layer of Basalt has been added to the core of the E84 that adds more strength without adding any extra weight. The All-Terrain Rocker Profile gives you smooth and easy turn initiation and exit as you slice your way down the groomers. If you are an intermediate skier looking to ramp up the speed and agility on the mountain, the new Rossignol Experience 84 AI will be a perfect ski for you.

I have been skiing for most of my life. (I started at age 12 and am now 66.) I keep my equipment for a number of years (average about 8 years) since some season I ski a lot and others very little (depends on snow in the mid-Atlantic). I bought this as an impulse buy since I realized my last skis were 10 years old. My last pair were Rossi semi-comp skis. By comparison, the Exp. 84 AI are easier to turn and carve with less effort. At first I thought the fatter mid ski would be hard to get used to, but in reality going back to my older skis (I keep them as “rock” skis) is far tougher. The 84 AI seem to float over most snow and generally edge well in icy conditions. I skied in PA, VT and CO last season and the ski handled all conditions well.
My only negatives are they are not the best at bumps, if that’s your preference. Also, they are not as stabile at higher speeds (25-30mph) compared to my older Rossi skis. I feel the tip tends to chatter a bit more and is not quite as well damped. But I think that’s the price one pays for an easier turning ski.
Overall, this is a very nice, forgiving all-round ski. I’m happy with my purchase, which I should be given they may be my last pair.Hide
