Overview

The Leki Speed S is a perfect ski pole for skiers looking for balance and aerodynamics. The Airfoil shape cuts through the wind with minimal effort as you fly down the mountain. Leki's Trigger S System allows you to remove the pole from the strap without taking off your gloves to re-adjust your gear by simply pushing the button located on the top of the grip. The Slalom Grip will fit nicely in your hands with a very ergonomic design. The Baskets of the Speed S are Screw On for extra durability, and the Diamond Tip will cut through any snow condition.

Q: Loaded question--is the S Trig worth it? I am not a racer or an expert, but I am a lover of the activity, I ski 20+ times a season (sometimes for as little as 90 min) and I do hate the on/off game at the lift with straps and my mitts. A clip off strap seems like it would be great, but it's hard to tell just by looking at the pic, and the way the S Trig ties into your hands seems a bit overkill if you're not a racer. I'm thinking of getting the S Trig Easy option for this one, but again, is all this overkill?

A: The Trigger system is very convenient and easy to use. The strap has a very ergonomic design that makes pole plants more efficient. Once people start using it they never go back. If you hate fiddling with pole straps, I suggest you try it. You may never go back to a traditional strap.
