Hi, my name's Dan. I just got done riding the Elan Wingman 82 CTi. This is a great ski for all over on the hill. Anything from wide open groomed to a little bit of fresh snow, this ski is really, really gonna excel. It's a strong ski that really likes to be up on edge and has a lot of guts to it. It really responds well , quick turn to turn, that really pushes you from turn to turn, so you kinda feel the speed pick up from turn to turn. I think it's a little stiff through the tails for more intermediate skiers, so I definitely would recommend this for our more strong intermediate to expert level rider. But overall, amazing ski for everywhere on the mountain.Hide

Hi, I'm Brendan, I just got off the Elan WIngman 82 CTi and I really love this ski. The added carbon in this ski really gives it a lot of spring and energy from turn to turn, it really just wants to dive head first into that next turn. Still a very easy to ski ski though. Just like the whole rest of the Wingman series, huge sweet spot on this, you can be way forward on it, you can be pretty relaxed. Just a really easy ski to ski that still has a ton of power behind it. It could push through snow piles. Overall, this is just a killer ski for groomers, whether it's perfect conditions, kinda crummy conditions, whatever you like to do this is a ski that can do it. Hide
Q: How do you recommend summer storage, just purchased these skis a few weeks ago ? I have ski racks in the garage that allows for vertical storage but the spacing is wide and puts pressure on the tips. So, I used a Velcro ski tie approximately 8 inches down
A: Unfortunately no, We can only set bindings if the skis, boots, and bindings are all purchased together. Setting and testing a binding requires the actual boot that will be used with the binding. This is the only way to ensure that the binding functions as it is supposed to and know that it will function at it's safest.

Q: Im a a heavier (62 / 225lbs) advanced intermediate who likes to vary my skiing and sticks mainly to groomers but want a ski that i can venture out into the softer snow when conditions allow. I dont like to charge all the time and simply want 1 ski to do it all. Want something light, fun and poppy that will cruise around groomers but still enjoy softer snow - will go fast on occasion but mostly want to enjoy every inch of snow as much as possible. Tested the Ripstick 88s in 186 and loved their fun factor, intuitiveness and ease in all conditions - wondering how the Wingman 82 CTI compare? Also tried the 86 TI in 178 but found it a little more demanding than I would like and less fun that the Ripstick.
A: The Wingman 82 will be just as demanding as the 86. The dual layer of titanal stiffens the Wingman where the Ripstick 88 is reinforced with carbon to give it the playful feel. If you're not looking to charge hard all the time and just want to enjoy being outside, Ripstick 88 is the way to go.
