The Elan Ripstick 96 is an excellent ski for the strong intermediate to expert skier looking for a lightweight ski that loves to carve and can head off trail when you want to. Carbon Line Technology has been added to the inside edge of the ski that improves energy transmission and responsiveness, while reducing the weight of the ski. Additional Carbon Tubes have been added along the sidewalls of the Ripstick 96 to drive even more energy to the snow. Elan's VaporTip Technology uses a thinner material that lowers the swingweight and increases maneuverability.
Carbon Line Technology-Carbon reinforcements over the inside edges of the skis that drive more power into your turns.
SST Sidewalls-Slightly slanted to reduce the weight of the ski, while delivering superior edge grip on firm snow.
TubeLite Woodcore-Two 5mm thick carbon tubes that follows the arc of the sidecut that adds energy and power while reducing the total weight of the ski.
Carbon Rods-Added to the core of the ski to increase power and reduce weight.
VaporTips-Small cutouts at the tip of the ski to reduce vibrations and increase maneuverability.
Q: I'm kind of stuck between sizes with the length change. I ski a 165 Navigator and was wanting this for my soft snow ski in Idaho. I'm 5'6" 150 lbs. Should I go up to the 172 or go shorter with a 164?
