The Elan Amphibio 88 XTi is always a favorite ski for aggressive skiers looking for impressively quick carves and stability on the frontside of the mountain. Elan's 4D Construction creates an ultra-smooth ride, no matter how fast you are going, or how firm the terrain is. 4D Construction has a convex topsheet in front of the binding platform and a concave topsheet behind the binding plate that dampens out vibrations for smooth skiing. Amphibio Rocker gives you dedicated right and left skis with a cambered inside edge and a rockered outside edge in the tip of the ski that gives lightning quick turn initiation and precise skiing. RST Sidewalls provide you with an excellent grip on icy conditions. Dual Shaped Titanal Layers will keep even the biggest and most aggressive skiers smooth and stable, making the Amphibio 88 XTi a favorite for East Coast rippers who love to carve.

Q: What is the proper way to tune an asymmetrical, rockered ski (with respect to base grind and side filing)?
Asked : Sep 01, 2017

Know the answer? Answer this question

A: You do want to de-tune the rockered portion of the tip ever so slightly beyond the contact point to prevent a very hooky feeling. A stone grinder will apply the appropriate amount of pressure evenly on the ski for adequate structure and faster gliding.
