The new Blizzard Alight 8.0 CA is a great ski for the intermediate to advanced skier looking for precise and easy carves on the frontside of the mountain. Blizzard uses their IQ Suspension system to absorb vibrations and enhance rebound for smooth turns. The Sandwich Sidewall Construction does a fantastic job of transferring energy towards the snow and providing a great edge hold on firm Back East or Midwest slopes. 4mm of Tip and Tail Rocker engage the Alight 8.0 CA into to turns and releases them with little effort. A Paulownia-Bamboo Lite Core feels stable at speed while delivering a great rebound as you unweight the ski. Blizzard has created a WSD (Women's Specific Design) for each ski in the Alight series to be finely tuned for that level of skier and require less energy to make the ski react when and how you want it to.

Hi I'm Marica. I just got off the Blizzard Alight 8.0 CA skis. I give these skis a 5 out of 5 stars. These are an excellent transition ski to an intermediate skier and even taking it to the next level. They're a bit firmer. They take the lo...Read More

Hi I'm Brigitte and I just got off the Blizzard Alight 8.0 Carbon ski. I give this ski a 3 out of 5. I think this ski is an intermediate ski. For me it wasn't the best. It was alright. I felt a little unsteady underfoot. Turns were ok but I...Read More

Q: Hi, I am 50 years old, 5"2 96 lbs. Intermediate skiier. Would I be okay in these skis in 150? I like to ski fast but I I also already have some trouble with stability due to my low weight. Thanks.

Know the answer? Answer this question

A: Based on your weight and ability, I would recommend the 144cm Alight 8.0 for you. A shorter ski will be less fatiguing for you, while still offering stability.
