Banshee Bungee Review

January 18th, 2011

The Banshee Bungee, a great invention in the eyes of a snowboarder. I was able to give one of these contraptions a go a couple of weeks ago and it was a blast. The setting was a backyard, a small kicker and a medium sized wooden box. The Banshee Bungee was the main attraction of the night as we were all pretty stoked to use it.

We attached the Banshee Bungee to a metal clothesline sticking out in the backyard which was very stable and able to take our constant pulls. From there we took a few test runs to get acclimated to the bungee as none of us had used the Banshee Bungee before. As the first few runs came to a close we all realized that we were having a genuine good time using this thing.

The Banshee Bungee has been added to my snowboard gear collection and you may want to also, check out the review below!

Very easy to set up: We had the Banshee Bungee out of the packaging and set up in a few minutes.

Pulls instead of whips: It’s not what you expect from a bungee. The Banshee Bungee pulls you at a good pace so you don’t have to focus on the bungee and can get ready for the obstacle. The triple stranded braided design enforces this and does not allow snapback to occur.

Easy to transport: It’s a bungee so all you have to do is throw it in your trunk, backseat or wherever you have a little room.

Variable: The Banshee Bungee can be made to go faster and slower just depending on how you tie it off. Shorten it for a faster pull or loosen it for a more gradual pull.

Street use: Much better alternative to getting pulled in by a car. Not only is it much safer but you also get a better feel for the trick you’re about to do and can ready yourself and be smoother.

Quick Release, Highly recommended

People: You need at least 2 people to pull it back. This is not really a big issue as you’re probably with a group most times but can be annoying. I suggest getting the quick release so you can decrease the people and heighten the fun.

Plastic piece busted: A plastic piece on the handle that was merely cosmetic broke in the cold weather. This has done nothing to the functionality of the bungee, just made it less cosmetically appealing.

Overall I would definitely suggest the Banshee Bungee. It’s a great addition to a snowboarder’s arsenal and definitely comes in handy when you can’t make it out to the hill. In our case we used it for a night time gathering and it was a blast. Long live the Banshee Bungee, go pick one up and see what you can do on a little flat ground.
