Tip Rocker/Camber skis for edge hold; easy turn initiation
The Atomic Vantage X 83 CTi is a powerful and agile ride for advanced to expert skiers looking for smooth turns on the frontside of the mountain. The Exo Profile has a unique 3D shape that uses slanted sidewalls that lower the swingweight and increase maneuverability. Atomic's Power Woodcore uses a Titanium Powered Backbone that adds extra rigidity, edge hold and stability to the ski. The Carbon Tank Mesh uses woven fibers of carbon that increase the snap and power to the X 83 while keeping the weight to a minimum for a ski this powerful. If you like a snappy and stable ski that can achieve top speeds without so much as a rattle, the Atomic Vantage X 83 CTi is a great option.

Hi I'm Adam and I was just skiing on the Atomic Vantage X 83 CTi. Great ski for that strong intermediate to expert level skier just looking for something extremely quick, agile, very snappy on the front side of the mountain. With this shape and side cut, it really likes to carve but it also responds very well at any turn shape. Short, medium, you can open it up into long tuns - it is just one of those versatile turn skis that you could really kind of do anything you want to do on the front side of the mountain. The carbon tank mesh gives it a lot of power but also makes it really, really snappy. So if you're an athletic strong intermediate all the way up to an expert looking for a carver, great ski for you.Hide

Hi I'm Thom I just got done riding the Atomic Vantage X 83 CTi. This is just a wonderful on trail ski. Definitely aimed at firm snow, packed snow, but its got a pretty progressive shovel shape to it, so it's still really good in crud and a little bit of light powder. So if you're spending 70-80% of your time on trail, but you do want to venture into the bumps, into the trees on occasion this is a fantastic ski to do it with. On firm snow, where it really does excel its just incredibly delicate, this ski is so easy to get into edge. Holds so, so well and just a calm, damp manner all the way through the turn with just a nice little pop of power right at the end to get you to the next set of edges. It's just a wonderful feeling through the entire turn. Short fall line it's really easy to get snappy turns out of it, when you open it up to that medium to medium long GS radius and just let it all hang out it is capable of doing that too. If you're just looking to tear up the front side this is a great option.Hide

Hi I'm Paulie and I just rode the Atomic Vantage X 83 CTi. This is a great ski for an intermediate on up relatively aggressive skier. It holds up really well at speed and makes great turns. Medium to long turns at higher speeds, this could be a good ski for somebody who may want to move to the next level aggressively or maybe just wants something they can ski on for a long time, and not have to worry about out skiing it. Definitely intermediate on up, but a great confidence builder and an excellent performer all around.Hide
Q: I am a 5'11" beginner coming in at 240lbs. It seems the recommendation is to move to more sturdy equipment usually designed for an intermediate skier based on my weight. I only want to cruise with the kids on blues on the East Coast. Would these be a potential fit for me?
A: You are absolutely correct that we typically will recommend a heavier or more athletic skier not start on beginner equipment and move directly up to something a bit more advanced. These skis however, are probably a bit more aggressive than you would want to learn on as they are aimed at advanced skiers and are very responsive which makes them hard to learn on. The Vantage 83 R is built on the same platform with slightly less aggressive materials and the 181cm length in that ski would be perfect.

Q: Are the bindings already mounted on these skis?
A: We can only mount bindings if boots are purchased with them. Ski binding manufactures have a liability agreement that states when the binding is mounted; it is set up, adjusted, and tested by a certified tech, with the exact boot that is going into that binding. The boot and binding must then go through a series of function tests and visual inspections to ensure that the binding keeps you in when you need to be kept in, and releases you when you need to be released. This is done for your safety. Alpine ski bindings are an important piece of safety equipment and should be set up properly with all necessary equipment present.
