Tip Rocker/Camber skis for edge hold; easy turn initiation
The Atomic Vantage 79 Ti is a great option for any intermediate to advanced skier who wants an on Piste ripper. With Atomics Prolite construction, the Vantage is built up starting with the slimmest profile possible and adding on benefits where it counts. This method is a good way to keep the ski light while adding reinforcement where you need it. The Power Woodcore uses ash and poplar wood to keep the ski stable and help cut out any chatter. A thin layer of titanium mesh tank is laid over the wood core from tip to tail for added strength when holding an edge at speed. An energy backbone is added on top of the titanium mesh tank for added stability underfoot and edge hold. The Vantage features a cap sidewall construction where there's a full sandwich sidewall underfoot for rigidity and cap everywhere else for maneuverability. Get extra value with the Vantage 79 with the included FT 12 GW binding to make the Vantage a must have. If you're looking for an on Piste ripper, then look no further, The Atomic Vantage 79 Ti will get the job done.

Hi, I'm Adam, and I was just getting on the Atomic Vantage 79 TI. A great ski for that athletic intermediate, strong beginner skier somebody who really wants a ski that really has a lot of value to it. It's engineered with Atomic's pro light technology, which keeps the ski very light but also very strong. It's very easy to skid in its carve. It's got a partial sidewall construction so you're gonna get a good firm edge hold when the snow gets a little bit firm and crunchy and all that stuff, but really how it feels it's just like you don't have anything on your feet at all until you step on the gas and then it gives you a lot of energy and springs you out of your turn.

The full side wall really propels it from turn to turn which gives it a nice, strong edge hold. It definitely has a great re-bound from turn to turn. It really propels you from each turn. It's very maneuverable, in tight situations and bumps it excels. It might be a little still for the bumps, but is definitely a very easy ski for anyone looking to improve in those tighter situations.Hide

Q: I test the QST 92 and really liked them, but was talked out of buying them because of typical east coast front side conditions -- especially in PA, where I live. Someone suggested that I would like the Vantage 79 TI for more typical conditions, but I am not sure -- I liked the QST because they were easy in all conditions. What do you think?
A: Go with what you like! The QST 92 is an excellent option especially for someone who likes to ski all of the mountain. Groomers, trees, bumps, crud. The QST 92 can take on anything. The Vantage 79 ti is a great groomer ski but it's limited to the frontside. If you're looking for a one ski quiver, QST 92 is your guy.
A: Once your boots start to feel sloppy or your skis do not feel as responsive as they should, its time for new boots. Typically after 100-150 days on snow, your liners are shot.
