The 5th Element Ascension Ski Blades are the coolest new way to experience the slopes. Just like a full length ski, only smaller, the Ascension Ski Blades feature a stable and responsive wood core and fully wrapped stainless steel edges. Rip them through the terrain park or the trees, the moguls or the groomers, the Ascension Ski Blades make any terrain on the mountain even more fun. And because of their small size and directional twin shape, they're easy to maneuver on the snow so beginner and experienced skiers can all get in on the action. The 5th Element Ascension Ski Blades feature an adjustable, non-releasable binding with leashes for a safe and secure ride. And the bindings fit up to a 365 boot sole length or a size 32.5 ski boot, so the whole family can try something new!
QUALITY CONSTRUCTION - 5th Element Ascension Ski Blades feature a sturdy and responsive, solid wood core for true all mountain performance. The stainless steel edges are fully wrapped so you can effortlessly carve from edge to edge with confidence, much like you would on skates.
DIRECTIONAL TWIN - The Ski Blades have a directional twin shape which makes for easy butters and riding switch whether you're in the terrain park or on the groomers. The skis are 90cm in length from tip to tail; the tip width is 108mm with a waist width of 76mm. Their small size and twin shape make for easy maneuvering and a fun ride for skiers of all levels.
ADJUSTABLE BINDING - The 5th Element Ski Blades are equipped with a fully adjustable binding that fits up to a 365 BSL (boot sole length) or a size 32.5 ski boot. The bindings are non-releasable and come with an ankle leash so your ski won't take off down the hill without you. The adjustable binding makes these ski boards fun for the whole family to enjoy.

I picked up skiing after taking 10 years off. I now have a 3 year old that I wanted to get into the sport. These are the perfect skis for me.
- They are short enough I can use them like roller blades (no poles) so I can have my hands free to control my daughter with her harness and help push her around in the lift area. - A related point: since the skis are so short, maneuvering is incredibly easy (mountain & lift area). - They are cheap so when my daughters skis run into these and cut them up I'm not worried. - The factory wax and edge job was just fine. Plenty slick & sharp. - After 10 years of not skiing, within 20 seconds I was able to pick it up and be comfortable enough to push / guide my daughter around on her skis.
Short skis are awesome!!!
I bought a pair for my wife too. She has never skied but I'm sure she will be able to get the hang of it.Hide

I bought these to ski with my 4-year old as he learns on the bunny slope/groomers. It was difficult to maneuver around him with my regular skis and these allow me to go forward and backwards so I can go in front of him to demonstrate or behind him to follow and they're easy to keep out of his way on and off the lift. They needed more instruction as I didn't realize how they needed to be adjusted before first use but YouTube came through and it was easy to adjust the bindings...just didn't know I needed to before I tried using them the first time.Hide
A: They are stable but not nearly as stable as a regular ski. These are meant for just having fun on the slopes. nothing you want to push to hard.

Q: I have been a skier for many years and now in my mid seventies having a problem with traditional skis. I assume blades are much easier to turn? Do you use poles? Do you press against your boot top?
A: They will be easier to turn and you can use poles, yes. However, you will not get the same performance out of ski blades as you would a regular pair of skis.

Q: Are the bindings suited for cross country skiing, or downhill skiing? Are the heels attached to the ski, or do the lift for a good kick?
