Hi I'm Steve, I just got off the Salomon BBR 8.9 ski I've also skied this ski a couple of times already, so I've already tested it, I love this ski everytime I've tested it this is the third tme it's an amazing ski, this is the sidewall version, which is the stiffer version you can see it has an extremely wide tip, but it has an amazing amount of side carve so it's great for hardpack and icy conditions it can handle powder because of the tip, I give this ski 5 out of 5 stars because it's absolutely amazing, this is a 176, which is normally the length I would ski, but I've actually skied the 186 on this ski and liked it because you can definitely go longer on this ski than you're used to. the sidecut kind of ends, well below the tip so you're actually, it's like you're skiing with a shorter ski when you are on hardpack, but you get the longer ski when you're skiing on powder, because that part of the ski then engages when you're doing it on soft condition, powedery condition kind of situation, this is an amazing ski for that person who wants one ski, that can do it all, hard pack ice, soft pack crud, powder. It can handle everything this is a great ski I really loved it.
