The Quest Pro 130 from Salomon is a high powered boot for experts that are looking for total comfort out of a boot that can take them to the backcountry, but still charge inbounds. The 360 Degree Custom Shell can be heated and molded to match the shape of your foot. Once the shell is baked in a convection oven that most ski shops have, your foot is then placed in the hot shell. When the shell cools it molds to match the shape of your foot. An aftermarket footbed improves the molding process, fit and performance of the Quest Pro 130 by supporting your arch, and moving your foot into a neutral position. A 24mm Oversized Pivot is designed to give more torque and power to wider skis to give you more power and quicker reaction to your skis. The Quest Pro 130 also has Hike and Ride Technology that with a magnesium backbone gives you rearward stability, and easy hiking and skinning up to the summit for waist deep freshies all the way down. If you are looking for a boot that will be great in the BC, or inbounds, that will easily adapt to your foot shape the Salomon Quest Pro 130 will not disappoint you.

Q: Description says it has an aftermarket footbed; what was wrong with the Salomon version? Or is that just a recommendation to add?
Asked : Feb 15, 2017
By : trand5309, United States
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: All ski boots come with a stock footbed that does little for the boot or your skiing other than to take up space in the boot. An aftermarket footbed better aligns your foot to improve the your balance and control over your skis. For optimal performance an aftermarket footbed is recommended for all boots, especially ones with a shell that has the ability to be molded.

Q: do these have swappable tech soles as well or only alpine DIN soles? also, what is the weight of these?
Asked : Dec 22, 2014
By : mikemo, Eastern Sierras
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: Salomon no longer manufactures tech soles that are swappable for the Quest Pro Boots. They do however have WTR soles that are sold separately. At a size 26 they weigh in at 5lbs a boot or 10lbs a pair.
