Salomon Mission RS 8 Ski Boots 2010: For over 60 years and over 160 countries Salomon has been driven a commitment to innovative design and a passion for mountain sports. The Mission RS 8 from Salomon has been designed using Advanced Shell Technology to guarantee perfect fit, control and transmission. A bi-injected lower shell made from Polyurethane enables effortless progress on-snow as well as providing well adapted stiffness. Shiny, durable and dynamic - you'll love this boot. As far as an upper cuff is concerned, a reinforced rear, lateral insert allows the use of a softer front cuff for improved leg wrapping and progressive flex. A tool free catch adjustment makes personalization a breeze to the lower leg volume by rotating and moving the catch laterally. The high-performance comfort of the Mission RS features a new V-Shaped inner form for heel control while ensuring toe comfort. Using My Custom Fit Performance, Salomon has 2 layers of thermoformable foam on the ankle, heel, meta, tongue, and sole in the Mission RS 8 that gives you better comfort without having to alter performance. Using the first breathable liner in a ski boot, Biovent, you will be able to regulate body temperature thanks to a multilayer construction inspired from apparel. Biovent is a process that begins in the first inner layer by extracting moisture from the socks which actually captures 30-50% more than regular liners. The moisture is then transferred through the next layer of micro-perforated Comfort Foam and evacuated out of the final layer made of a 3D mesh in ventilated evacuation channels. Throughout this process of moisture elimination your foot still remains warm due to the outer insulation of the Mission RS 8. All-in-all it's a process happening within the little area your foot will be while you are making big on the mountain!
