I’ll have to agree with Amar on this one. I also study the snow/climate interface in WA and have found similar results. El Nino is the main reason I’m NOT buying a seasons pass and just relying on skins for everyday skiing and dropping the cash for the likely few powder days in the PNW this winter. By all means I hope we are wrong.

Be careful what you wish for. El Nino is not always good for skiing.
Snow making does not work in rain! Cold winters are better.
Warmer ocean air can be a disaster for winter Olympics in Whistler.

I’ve been rocking back and forth like a mad woman since May. I know that this hot summer and post summer that trickled into September only means that we’re going to have a wicked awesome winter up in Mammoth like we did for the 2005-2006 season. God I can’t wait!!!! PRAY FOR SNOW!
