One Response to “Jeannie Thoren | In Her Own Words”
In 1975 I too read Warren Witherell’s book and attended a clinic with him. Odd that he was a water skier, but I too ended up putting cants under mty rear binding to raise it, moved the binding 1 CM forward and had them fitted and the next year I went from never having won a medal in a USSA race( except as a child) as an adult I went on to win 4 that season. While mens boots work for me and I am a bit stronger than most women my size, I tried to convince other women (and men) about Warrens Book. I still think of it as the Bible of modern skiing. I also find using Warrens technichs the, new shaped skis are not really a big advantage to me, and no advantage whatsoever in speed events.
