Bob,

This is common among those who have higher settings for their din, mostly anything above an 8 or 9. You do not have to set them all the way down to 0, you can simply notch them down 3-4 settings. Thanks for the great question and please let us know if we can do anything else for you.

I alway taught the most imprtant part of storing the skis for summer is the position. The cardinal sin is to store them flat so one ski hole dipens while the other ski becoming flat with the time making each ski different for the next sezon. As per my religion the ski shall be separated at zero point (tip of the boots) by about 1" thick soft pad while tighten at tips and tails with some kind of velcro strap. The velcro-less base of the strap shall go in between teh skis. The ski shall be standing in vertical position or be hanged by tips. Other option is to lay them on sides but such way it will not turn flat. One more - spray some of WD40 into bindings - just enough to be stinky for mice that would choose your ski cover for their summer lodge-spa.

Good info. How about the bindings? I have always returned the settings (heel and toe) to 0 so that the spring mechanisms do not take a permanent set and become invalid. What say you?
