The Volkl RTM 84 UVO is a perfect ski for aggressive skiers seeking stability, speed, and phenomenal carving ability. Made with the UVO (Ultimate Vibration Object) which absorbs vibrations on three different axis'. By dampening vibrations horizontally, vertically, and torsionally; you get one of the most stable carving skis ever created. Camber underfoot provides tremendous edge hold and rebound, while rocker in the tip and tail allow the RTM 84 to dive into and out of turns very precisely. Volkl's 3D Ridge Technology uses a raised center channel over the length of the ski with a thinner construction over the sidewalls reduces the effort required for you to maneuver the ski, increases the stability, and overall enjoyment while tearing up the groomers.

If you are over 225 and power the turns in crud
Comments:
I just got off the Volkl RTM 84 and if you are a big, 225lb +, east coast, mainly crud skier with 100+ flex boots you will LOVE the Volkl RTM 84. This ski lays-in very predictably on every turn then rockets to edge like every big guy dreams of. The UVO system makes you a hero on every turn, making every sketchy overly enthusiastic entry into a predictable exit. No matter the conditions, the bigger, more aggressive you are, the better this ski responds. I have been searching for perfection. I may have found it.

Hi I'm Steve I just got off the Volkl RTM 84. I give this ski 5 out of 5 stars. RTM 84 has been in the Volkl line for years and I've never really liked the ski, it always was too stiff and too difficult to turn for me because I'm fairly lightweight; but this year the RTM 84 is amazing. It grips like no tomorrow, it's like a tank, it's definitely a little sluggish from turn to turn but extremely smooth, but its such a strong stable ski if you're a strong guy, you like to ski hard, particularly on hard pack conditions which you want a mid 85 length ski, would ski this 84 RTM, would be a perfect ski its really, really a great ski. It's one of the most popular skis in America. And its probably Volkls most popular ski, definitely a show winner at 5 out of 5.

Hi I'm Brooks, I just rode the Volkl RTM 84 UVO. This is a great ski I gave it a 4.5 out of 5 stars. Awesome, goes really fast, holds a great edge. Really really stable, especially at high speeds. You have a lot of confidence going into your turns with this. It's got a lot of spring to it so it bounces back when you're doing quick turns. 4.5 out of 5 stars, great ski.

Hi I'm Adam and I was just skiing on the Volkl RTM 84 Uvo. I give this ski 5 out of 5 stars all day long. It's a big, powerful, carving ski. It's extremely stable, no matter how fast you push it. On ice, firm snow, perfect corduroy, soft snow, the thing skis very, very well. It has Volkl's 3D Ridge Technology that really makes this ski a little bit lighter, but also increases the strength and increases the maneuverability. And the Uvo dampening system just makes this ski even quieter, no matter how fast you ski, and no matter how firm the terrain. 5 out of 5 stars.

Hi I'm Thom, I just got off the Volkl RTM 84. This is a 5 out of 5 star ski. This thing is just tremendous fun. Silky, silky smooth the UVO up in the tip keeps the ski incredibly damp and just glued to the snow. This thing absolutely rails a carve, we're talking full blown advanced up to expert level skier here to get the most out of it. It really does demand that you ski it hard, but it's still not a challenging ski. It's right there with you, it gets into the turn easily, and it just powers through everything. If you're looking for something that is carving focused, but also has a little bit of all-mountain versatility, you can get on this thing and just shred all day long. 5 out of 5.

Q: I am 6'3" and 215 pounds. I am an expert skier. I am thinking of getting the Volkl RTM 84 skis. Any suggestions on length? I am also thinkin of the Head Supershape I Titan, but the longest they come is 177 and I am just not sure that is long enough. Any comments or ideas?

A:The 182cm in the RTM 84 UVO would be the optimal size for you. A 177cm will not give you the stability and performance that you as an expert skier would want.

Q: Thinking of getting the Volkl RTM 84 skis. I am on the large side (6'2', 270 lbs). Is the 182 or 177 length a big deal? Currently have AC30s in 177. Any other recommendations? Ski most of the time on the groomers, once in a while will venture out.
