NOTE: Volkl Performance Wear comes in European Sizing. While we have done the conversion for you, please note that the tag in your jacket will reflect its European Size (ex. US L = EU XL). The Volkl Perfect Fitting jacket also tends to run shorter in the torso and the arms due to its tailored European cut.

Normally don't wear insulated jackets because I find them too warm on days over 30. However, went skiing yesterday morning with a high of 15 and windy and the Volkl kept me warm, even during stoppages on the lift.
As for size, I'm 6', weigh 190, and have a 35" waist and the XL was a perfect fit. Plus I like all of the pockets. Only complaint, the coat zips up on the left, not the right. Weird.
The jacket itself is fine: looks good, quality is excellent, and I presume it will be warm.
I presume it would be warm because I was not able to fit into it. I typically wear an XL. I ordered an 2XL, as Skis.com said it had done the conversion from European sizing to American sizing. Even after ordering the size up 2XL, this jacket was nowhere close to be able to fit. I'd recommend ordering 2 sizes up. If you wear an American "M" order an XL. If you wear an American "L" order a 2XL. If you wear an American "XL" or "XXL" you are out of luck -- go order another jacket. Save yourself the $30 in shipping fees.
