This is a true slalom racing ski. Very quick edge to edge, super responsive and a lot of fun. Definitely not built for big arching turns on long cruiser runs

Comments about Volkl P60 GC Race Skis:

Up-grade from the 2002 Volkl Platinum Energy. Very fast and easy to turn in a NASTAR course even though they have a longer radius! I love them. VERY stable at high speed.
Wish I'd bought 2 pair, one pair to ride now and one to lay back for use in when these are old!!
what's NOT OK? Well, I can't find any more.

I SET THESE p-60'S UP W/ A PAIR OF TYROLIA BINDINGS NO PLATES OR TRACKS ON THESE.WHEN I PICKED THEM UP AFTER MOUNTING I NOTICED THE SKI TECHS GIGGLING WITH RAISED EYEBROWS.WELL, THE JOKES ON THEM AND THIER FAT MACHO BOARDS SKIING NON POW DAYS.WITHOUT THE TRACKS OR PLATES THEY'RE ALOT LIGHTER AND SNAP ARC'S ON CARVES LIKE YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE.I HAD FORGOTTEN WHAT FUN A SLIGHTLY SHAPED NARROW SKI COULD BE ON SKIING HARDPACK. THE LACK OF WIEGHT VS MY FAT SKIS WIEGHT IS A WELCOME BONUS.iF YOU WANT EM STIFFER SLAP A PLATE ON EM,THEY'LL STILL BE LIGHTER THAN MOST BOARDS OUT THERE.THE BASES ALSO SEEM LIKE THEY CAN SHED BULLETS. SKIED SOME ROCK FILLED BUMP RUNS AND THOUGHT I'D TRASHED THEM BUT THE DAMAGE WAS NO-WHERE TO BE FOUND AFTER INSPECTION.THESE THINGS ARE MORE FUN THAN A BARREL OF DRUNKEN MONKEYS AND THINK'N @ THE PRICE OF SNATCHIN' ANOTHER PAIR, @ UNDER $100.00 IT'S A NO BRAINER. Comments about Volkl P60 GC Race Skis:

Since early cavemen till the yr 2000 or so the world skiied on fairly narrow ski's.It wasn't till the explosion of hundreds of ski film makers showing studs launching off 60 footers into the bottomless powder that fat ski's became the rage. With a little push the ski companies they convinced all the "YUTES" world-wide that this should be thier go to skis. The reality of it, is there's better every day ski's.These P-60's are a prime example.Unless you're "nesting" in a ski town the closest you'll come to the bottomless is on the highway swearing @ the idiots doin' 35 mph on the slick roads to your resort.About the time you've paid for parking the local Vikings like those in "WHAT"S IN YOUR WALLET" have pillaged and shredded your fat ski dreams of the bottomless and left you crud piles.[ I should know I was in that Vikings Gang spoiling dreams for 14yrs @ various ski towns.] I'll ski these P-60's on non powder day's over my manley fat ski's all day long. They hold better on steeps, chutes, scratched off hard pack, and bust crud better than my "Chic's Dig Em Fat boards" I have. The P-60 slices, dices, chops, makes julienne fries that'll make your mom cry.For all you haven't skiied a Race Ski you should try a pair you might find you like em,more than your Macho Fatties for those non dump days." KEEP CHARGIN" Russ Adams Boulder,CO.
