Touted as the Mantra of the East the Kendo is a carving minded all mountain ski for skiers who demand power and precision but like to venture off trail as often as they find themselves on groomers. Built on an 88mm platform the Kendo retains lighting fast response on hard packed terrain and offers just enough float to be fun in crud and light powder. Using Power Construction, stripped straight from Volkl's race department, the Kendo features an internal torsion box that loads and release your energy as power directly into the full vertical sidewalls and down to the edges for tremendous grip, stability and sensitivity. Inside this construction in a full sensorwood core, also robbed from the race room, that creates a very lively and high rebound feel to the Kendo for snappy fall line turns and an exciting dynamic feel and when you have more space the two sheets of titanium keep the edge firmly planted, eat up vibration, and let the Kendo run wide open in graceful giant slalom arcs. The Kendo is all about simplicity and using the best materials and construction to bring a ski that carves like a champion and can plow through crud as if it weren't there and on the flip side feel very nimble and light in softer snow and tighter terrain. The Kendo responds best to controlled but aggressive skiing so for all you ex-racers and speed junkies this is your go anywhere ski.

          Comments about Volkl Kendo Skis:

Demoed these skis in the East last year and they work great on groomers and in powder. Taking them to Utah over Christmas and expect they will do great out West. Buying experience was great, these are hard to find!
