The Gotama is a very versatile big mountain ski perfect as an everyday ski for places that receive 250 inches of annual snow or more. For this reason it is often found on the feet of strong intermediate to expert level skiers who prefer off-piste terrain with the occasional groomer for warm up. Using a Multi Layer Sensorwood core the Gotama creates a unique blend between charging power, playful liveliness, and decent groomed terrain performance. At a sizable 107mm underfoot the Gotama certainly has the ability to float in soft snow and handle larger snowfalls but stays under the 110 mark meaning it still has some edge to edge quickness keeping it from feeling cumbersome on hardpack. Another reason for the versatility of the Gotama is the Power Construction which takes a traditional race build and replaces the metal with carbon fiber. This leave the Gotama with a lively attitude and tremendous edge hold so once it rolls onto edge there is no doubt it will hold no matter the snow pack. To truly dial the Gotama in for off piste performance it gets ELP Full Rocker, so from tip to tail it is pure rocker with zero camber, meaning it will plane over crud soft snow and crust without a second thought allowing you to either smear and slide or charge in high speed arcs. Also, the ELP Rocker means the Gotama initiates turns with less effort and provides tip to tail edge contact when rolled over for even better grip on groomed and hard pack.
