It really helps with absorbing those falls in the beginner stage. You won't be AS sore with it on but don't think it takes ALL the pain away!
I would wear it RIGHT before you hit the slopes. It is kind of bulky for just sitting and walking around.
It will NOT affect your snowboarding or skiing!
