The Tecnica Ten.2 70 HV is designed to be a boot for the beginner to intermediate skier who has a wide forefoot, tall instep, and medium sized leg shape. The 106mm last is the widest last available in any ski boot. With a flex rating of 70, the Ten.2 70 HV is not too stiff for the true beginner, but has enough support for the solid intermediate skier. Tecnica's Quick Instep Max Construction has a softer, shaped plastic over the instep that makes it very easy for you to slide on, and take off the boot. A 35mm Velcro Strap will keep a snug wrap across your shin, and provide you with more leverage and control over your skis. Tecnica's Ultra Fit Liner has a few different layers of foam, and padding to keep your foot insulated, and comfortable inside your boots as you slide down the mountain. If you have a wide foot, tall instep, and a medium leg shape, and you need a boot that will be comfortable and supportive, the Tecnica Ten.2 70 HV will be a great boot for you.

I love these boots!
Comments:
I am not a professional skier, just intermediate level, so I can't give you detailed review.
All I can say, that these boots are great for wider feet, have a lot of adjustments, stay fixed all day long and pretty comfortable. Design, look and feel are great. When I took them out in the ski rental place, everyone looked at them and few people said something like "Wow! What a great boots you have. Must be expansive. Where did you get them?" These boots really look like premium ones. Amazing quality.

Q: I recently purchased this boot from another distributor. I was surprised that the advertised forefoot width of 106mm, was actually 102mm (as printed on the box). They were returned. Can you verify that the width will be as advertised (106mm)? Also, is the liner moldable?

Know the answer? Answer this question

A:Tecnica manufactures the HV (High Volume) boots with the same shell last 102mm as the other Ten.2 non HV boots. The extra volume comes from a much thinner liner that creates the same fit as a 106mm last. If you have a very wide foot, this is the boot that I recommend for you. They use the same box for all Ten.2 boots. Most any liner in a ski boot can be heated up to accelerate the breaking in process for a more comfortable fit. A ski shop has a special oven or heat stacks that will do that for you.
