first the fit is what I was going for; 5'3"+ in. 125 lbs, medium build size 6 worked perfect. I liked these are substantial, warm but weren't bulky. Water repellancy/water proofing adequate w/o stiffness of fabric. numerous pockets to store what ever- again without adding bulk or causing the style to lose shape. Style/fabric allows easy, free movement on or off the slopes. Topping it off: quality construction. Oh - and the colors! I bought the awesome green to freshen things up from my otherwise "bleh" blacks.
These are really great quality ski pants, but run VERY small. I am 5'9" and 145 lbs. I am consistently a solid size 8 in just about all types of pants. I ordered the 8 and could barely get them past my hips, much less get the waist closed. I went into a ski shop and tried the size 10 - well guess what, also too small. Better in the hips, but still couldn't get the waist closed. Maybe a size 12 would fit, but I think I'll just go with another pair of pants. Too bad, as they are cute and the color is really a fun, bright green (much brighter than it appears on-screen).
