The Spyder Leader Jacket is one of the best-selling jackets in Spyder's line so it only makes sense that they made the smaller version for the kids. This Spyder Mini Leader Ski Jacket provides warmth, comfort and convenience for parents who want to make sure their kids are cozy when learning to ski.
3M Thinsulate Insulation will help the warmth stay inside and a 10k waterproofing and critically taped seams prevents the cold moisture for entering. Since kids grow up so fast, Spyder outfitted this jacket with a Small to Tall feature that allows you to release a stich in the sleeve to increase the length by 1.5 inches so you don't have to worry about those mid-season growth spurts. There is a glove attachment because kids love to lose their gloves and even a handy internal goggle pocket because kids also love to misplace their goggles.
If you want less cries about being cold and wanting hot chocolate and more cheers for playing on the mountain then you'll want to make sure your child is nestled under the Spyder Mini Leader Ski Jacket.

Small to Tall Grow Feature Allows Sleeves to Extend an Additional 1 1/2 inch when Stitch is Released
A: Both jackets are going to be very warm, the Clutch down is more of a casual jacket so it's not going to be as good for skiing or other winter activities. The mini leader has more technical features in the way of waterproofing and breathability making it better for activity. So it really comes down to what you are using the jacket for mostly. The Clutch would be great for a school jacket, and the Mini Leader would be great for school and more.
