Spyder Boys Armageddon Jacket
By. Jess Kopitz
It’s true, freestyle skiing is staging a complete take over with younger skiers. But just because your little guy has traded in race gates for jumps and rails, doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world. The Boy’s Armageddon Jacket is the perfect compromise between the freestyle look and heavy-duty protection. This jacket is filled with 140 grams of ThermaWeb insulation for extra warmth even on the coldest days. 5,000 mm of XT™ waterproof, breathable exterior laminate with a Spylon DWR finish will repel water almost instantly so your guy will be dry and comfortable while shredding, bombing the hill or whatever he’s calling it now. And Spyder didn’t skimp out on the features. The Armageddon Jacket includes taped critical seams, an internal powder skirt with custom snaps and gripper elastic, a fixed hood, an Internal drawcord at the hem, a brushed microfiber inner collar and an internal mesh goggle pocket. So don’t worry, this jacket may be freestyle, but it’s still fully stocked with everything your guy needs to stay warm, dry and comfortable on the hill.
So we’ve convinced you that the Boy’s Armageddon Jacket will perform for your kid just as well as other jackets. But we know that he wants to hang with the big boys in the park, and definitely look like them. Spyder’s got it covered with some funky prints and colors with attitude. The screen prints include black pinstripe, black checker print and our personal favorite, a lightening yellow, green, gray and black arrow print that’s anything but boring and ordinary. The solid color options still pack a punch with a military green and volcano orange that will blow boring colors away. This jacket features cargo pockets on the back and zippers lining both sides of the jacket as the finishing touch to truly top off your little guy’s steeze. So maybe you’re not thrilled that he chose to launch himself off certain death jumps and see what a half pipe is all about. But look at the bright side, at least he’s still in school.
