Snowboards come in various widths but can be categorized into narrow, regular and wide.
Regular width boards will accommodate most riders with a boot size 10.5 and under. These are the choice for the majority of riders.
Midwide boards aren’t quite as wide as wide boards, but are slightly wider than boards with a regular width. They are ideal for those with a larger boot, size 10-12, but seeking the quick edge to edge response of a regular board.
Wide boards are designed for riders with a boot size at or above 11.5. Wide boards keep those with larger feet from getting toe drag or heel, which is caused by the boot hanging over the board.
