The Smith I/OX is always a favorite goggle for sponsored athletes and pros looking for an oversized frame, cool look, and easy to swap lenses for any light condition. Smith's Single Pivot Quick Release Lens Change System allows you to change lenses when the light shifts on you in a matter of minutes. A Porex Filter eliminates the chances of distortion at high altitudes by regulating the air pressure between the lenses. The 5X Anti-Fog Inner Lens and the AirEvac System will keep you fog-free as you get ready to send it off of a huge cliff. The I/OX is equipped with a Spherical Carbonic-X Lens and TLT Lens Technology that provides an ultra-wide field of view with lots of peripheral vision that is crystal clear. Smith's Responsive Fit Frame easily adapts to your face shape. A Dual-Axis Outrigger on each side of the frame improves the fit with any helmet and improves durability. The Oversized Frame Shape is able to accommodate some eyeglass frames, so some riders who require glasses underneath their goggles will be able to wear the I/OX. If you want the same goggles as many top name pros that you can effortlessly swap out the lenses, the Smith I/OX is the perfect goggle for you.
I have had these goggles for a couple seasons now and they are great, but with a few minor flaws. I usually have the Green Solx lens in, which I find good for all conditions except night skiing. They fit excellently and comfortably, and have no problem going over my wide frame eyeglasses. The foam also dries quickly, which is a blessing after experiencing constantly wet goggles a few seasons back. Elasticity in the band seems unaffected after two seasons of constant use. Only negative I have is that the lens is quite difficult to change, especially putting a new lens in. Every time i feel like I am going to break my precious lens, getting it to fit into both nose clasps is a struggle. Other than that an awesome set of goggles.
