When selecting bindings, you must choose the correct brake width. Too narrow and the brakes will not fit across the waist width of the ski or too wide and they will drag on the snow. The width of the brake you will need is based on the waist width of your skis. The tip, waist, and tail dimensions of skis are usually printed on the ski either in the middle where the binding would go or on the tail. The waist dimension is the middle number. If you are purchasing a new ski on Skis.com, the dimensions are listed on the specs tab of the ski's listing page. Make sure to pick a width as big, or slightly bigger, than the waist width of your ski.
