Q: Can I buy these bindings for Salomon Q-98 skis?
Asked : Apr 09, 2017
By : Andrii, Philadelphia
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: This binding does have an ok, performance to go on the Q-98, but the 80mm brake will not fit. I would recommend a Salomon STH WTR 13 with a 100mm brake to be optimal in both performance and compatibility.

Q: I have a narrow ski waist ....wood core....sister ski to the ....K2 244 straight mogul wood core braided cap ski...the waist on that ski and mine is 66 milometer . looking for a good energy transfer binding by hopefully Salomon or Tyrolia in about a 150 price range....looking for feedback and suggestions...I am 60 yrs old and a all day mogul skier with intermittent jumps on mogul runs.. Thank you so much for your input..
Asked : Mar 17, 2017
By : snowman, Pasadena California
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: We would not recommend this binding for someone looking to primarily ski moguls. The amount of force created while skiing moguls requires a binding that is more durable and has better retention than the Z 12. The best bindings for this application would be the Tyrolia Attack 13, Salomon Warden MNC 13, Salomon STH2 WTR 13, or Marker Griffon.

Q: I am a young 60-year old, careful expert skier, and have just purchased 2017 Atomic Vantage 90 skis in a 169 cm length. I am 5'9 / 190 lbs. Will the Z12 Ti bindings be a good match?
Asked : Mar 07, 2017
By : Greg, Barrington, RI
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: The Z12 would not have the adequate energy transfer to get the maximum performance out of your new skis. I would suggest the Salomon STH WTR 13 is more appropriate for your skis, weight and ability.

Q: I am looking for Salomon Z10 bindings originally mounted on the Protrack plane to Salomom RXT 800 skis. I am not able to find them now. Does Z12 fit to my skis?
Asked : Feb 06, 2017
By : Slawomir, Canada
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: The RXT 800 is a system ski, it is very difficult to track down a binding that fits on that plate. The Z12 or any other model, other than what was paired with the ski will not fit safely.

Q: For a 80mm waisted ski what should be the brake width on Z12 binding, and what is the difference between the Z12 and the Z12ti thank you
Asked : Jan 09, 2017
By : Derek, Oak View, Ca
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: For an 80mm ski you can do the 80mm brake without an issue. The Ti version has a little stronger energy transmission to your skis.

Q: would this work on an x-drive 80 ti? I have a pair of skis without the binding. Looks like a system ski.
Asked : Dec 18, 2016
By : Vtskier, Ludlow, VT
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: If you have a system ski without a binding it is very difficult to get the appropriate binding or even one that fits onto the system. This binding will not work on that ski. The only binding that will fit is the one that was designed for it, and should have come with it.

Q: I have K2 Sideshow RS1 181's with a 90mm waist. Which size Z12 should I get?
Asked : Dec 04, 2016
By : Cosmic, Loveland, CO
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: Either the 90mm or 100mm brake will be a fine fit for your RS1 skis. We have the white available in a 100mm brake only, which would look the best on that ski. The general guideline is to select a brake width equal to or greater than the waist width of your ski, but not more than 15mm.

Q: what size in these bindings would you recommend for 2015 Line Tease's? I believe I have 167's, 86 waist
Asked : Dec 02, 2016
By : HB, SBS, CO
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: The 90mm size will be the best fit for that waist width.

Q: Will these work with 172 Soul 7's? I see them sold together online, but the brake width doesn't seem wide enough...
Asked : Nov 25, 2016
By : Bruschi, North Carolina
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: I do not recommend this binding to be used with the Soul 7. You will not get adequate energy transfer to your skis. I suggest the Look Pivot 14 or SPX 12 with a minimum brake size of 110mm.
