The Salomon X-Drive 8.0 FS makes an excellent option for the strong intermediate to expert skier that is looking for edge grip and stability on a lively frontside ski. A Koroyd Insert in the tip lowers the swingweight of the ski that makes it very easy for you to roll it on edge. Salomon's X-Chassis Construction uses a Carbon/Polyamide diagonal structure that sits on the center of the ski that increases the torsional strength and responsiveness, especially when you are moving at fast speeds. The All-Terrain Rocker 2.0 rocker profile enables you to dive into and out of turns quickly and deliberately with a strong amount of rebound. A Basalt Layer sits works together with the Light Density Full Wood Core to keep a lively and snappy feeling to the X-Drive 8.0, but also will be very stable no matter how fast you like to ski. The RKS (Rocker Stabilizer) uses a 3D Composite Fiber over the contact zones that increase the responsiveness even more when you want to knock out some tight turns at top speed.

Hi I'm Steve, I just got off the Salomon X-Drive 8.0 FS. Really enjoyed this ski, I give it a 5 out of 5 stars. Carves turns really well on the front side and on icy and choppy conditions feel really strong underfoot. It's a fast ski, but very controllable. Really like it, I think it would do well for an advanced-intermediate, even an expert skier, and anybody looking to move to the next level of skiing will really enjoy this for fast turns.

Hey this is Jeff, I just got off the Salomon X-Drive 8.0 FS. I give this 4.5 out of 5 stars. Fantastic ski to ski the front side, really rips especially for a bigger guy like me, it can handle as much as i put into it. The faster you ski the more you're going to like it, fantastic front side ski 4.5 out of 5 stars for the 8.0 FS.

Hi I'm Adam and I was just skiing on the Salomon X-Drive 8.0 FS. I give this ski 4 out of 5 stars. It makes the perfect ski for that strong intermediate all the way up to expert skier looking for something extremely light, extremely snappy edge to edge and just an all around great ski for the groomers. It has the full vertical sidewall so it holds a good edge on conditions that are firm like today, but it's really, really light on your feet. 4 out of 5.

Hi I'm Thom, I just got off the Salomon X-Drive 8.0 FS. This is a 5 out of 5 star ski from me for Salomon. This is really for your dedicated on trail skier. 80 underfoot so the thing is just super quick edge to edge. Very stable, full side wall construction means you get tons of edge grip, tenacious hold and it's a very, very easy ski to turn. Wants to get up on edge and wants to carve kind of medium to shorter radius turns. If you're looking for that big long GS turn, the 8.8 might be a little bit better option but for on-trail control, stability and really tenacious edge hold this is a fantastic choice. Really any skier from a solid intermediate up through an expert level skier is going to be really happy here. 5 out of 5 stars.
