Mellow intermediate and beginner skiers love the Salomon Luan for its forgiveness and easy to control feeling. Carve Rocker uses a small amount of rocker in the tip that will help you push out a snowplow with little effort, and initiate the ski easier as you learn to parallel turns. Salomon's Comfortech uses vibration dampening fibers underneath the toe piece of the binding to keep a smooth and confidence building ride. A Composite Core and Monocoque Cap Construction requires little effort or skill to make the Luan react when and how it should. The Control Frame Technology uses a unique 3D shape that has specific grip zones on the contact points for increased control and responsiveness as you skid your turns on your way to learning how to carve with confidence.

Hi I'm Jessica and I just got off the Salomon Luan Ski. This ski is a 4 out of 5 for me. I'm a mellow intermediate skier, this one is going to be good for that beginner getting in to intermediate. It doesn't really like the quick turns, more of a medium to long turns for this. It does hold a really good edge on the ice that we have today. The tip is really wide so it gets you over the crud as well which I really liked, there were some divots that I was smoothly able to get over. Again 4 out of 5 stars for that beginner looking to advance as a skier with this.

Hi I'm Jess and I just got off the Salomon Luan's. I would give this ski a 4.5 out of 5 stars. It's a beginner level ski but it's a very steady, a very stable ski. It feels really light underfoot so you can kind of turn and carve, and kind of slide it around when you need to very, very easily. But it holds really well, it's very smooth from edge to edge, it's a very smooth ski to move around the mountain on. So if you're a beginner level skier, and you're not quite sure on your feet quite this ski would be a great ski for you. Again I give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Hi I'm Brigitte, and I just skied the Salomon Luan Ski. I give this ski a 4 out of 5. I think this is a great beginner towards intermediate ski. It felt very, very light and soft on the foot. Easy to control, short or wide turns. Just a good overall ski, I give it 4 out of 5.

Hi my name is Marcia, I just got done skiing on the Salomon Luan's. I give these skis a 5 out of 5 stars. They are a really awesome ski, they held really tight to the snow. The edges turned really well, I felt that I had really good control and stability on these skis. The conditions are a bit icy, I felt like I was in total control with these skis; and on the longer turns across the hill it was a very smooth flow. I think this is a great ski for a beginner to an intermediate skier, and also a skier who wants to take their skills to the next level. Again I give these skis a 5 out of 5 stars.

Hi I'm Julie, I just got off the Salomon Luan. I give this ski a 5 out of 5 star rating. I thought it's an excellent ski for a beginner to intermediate level skier. It's a very confidence inspiring ski, so it does initiate a turn really well. It's very easy to ski at slow or moderate speeds. As you start to progress as a skier, it has enough guts to this ski to actually pick up the pace and ski it at a little faster pace. So if you're just getting into skiing, maybe buying your first set of skis and you really want to be able to progress in this sport, the Luan is a great first choice.
