 Overview

The new Salomon Luan is a perfect ski for the true beginner, mellow intermediate or the young lady who is ready for her first set of adult skis. The Composite Core is very forgiving and easy to control, especially for the newer or lighter weight skier. Salomon's Control Frame Construction gives the Luan a unique 3D shape with specific edge grip zones that give the mellow skier the best edge grip possible, allowing you to skid turns very comfortably as you learn to carve and set the ski on edge. The new Comfortech Technology absorbs vibrations before they reach your feet to build confidence and provide you with the smoothest ride possible. Carve Rocker has a slight amount of tip rocker to aid you when pushing out a snowplow or initiate turns faster once you start to carve. If you are looking for a lightweight and easy to learn with ski the Salomon Luan will be a great choice for you.

2016 Salomon Luan Ski Review by Brigitte
Comments:
Hi, I'm Brigitte and I just got off the Salomon Luan Ski. This is a great beginner to intermediate ski. I give it a 4 out of 5 stars. I felt like the ski was actually turning for me. It was really easy to ski on. I tried it with long turns and short and it was very stable. I give it a 4 out of 5 stars.

2016 Salomon Luan Ski Review by Jessica
Comments:
Hi, I'm Jessica and I just got off of the Salomon Luan Ski and this is a 4 out of 5 star ski. It's a beginner to mellow intermediate ski. Holds a really good edge when you're carving, practicing on your turns. When you get it up to speed it gets a little chattery so if you are more of a advanced-intermediate I'd stay away from this ski. Again, 4 out of 5 stars for me.

2016 Salomon Luan Ski Review by Julie
Comments:
Hi, I'm Julie. I just got off the Salomon Luan. I give this ski a 5 out of 5 star rating. It's a beginner ski, frontside ski for groomed surfaces. We have some really firm snow today and it made great turns at both a short and medium radius. It actually holds really well at a little bit higher speeds. So, it's all-in-all just a really nice ski for somebody that's just starting to improve their ski technique.

2016 Salomon Luan Ski Review by Marcia
Comments:
Hi, I'm Marcia. I just got off the Salomon Luan Skis. I give these actually a 5 out of 5. I feel that they're excellent for a beginner to intermediate skier. They held really good on turns. They took the short turns very well and the long turns flowed over the snow really well. I felt good control and good stability on these skis. Again, 5 out of 5 stars for these skis and great for a beginner to intermediate skier on groomed hills.

2016 Salomon Luan Ski Review by Monica
Comments:
Hi, my name's Monica and I just got off the Salomon Luan. It's a beginner ski. I give it a 5 out of 5. If you're a beginner, this is the ski you want to be on. It's solid. It's easy to get into the binding which I think can sometimes be intimidating for beginners. I think everything about this ski will help you progress if that's your intention. It holds the turns nicely. It moves. It's like butter on snow. Again, I give this, it's a beginner ski, I give it a 5 out of 5.

2016 Salomon Luan Ski Review by Annie
Comments:
Hi, I'm Annie and I just got off the Salomon Luan. It's a new ski for Salomon. It's a beginner ski. It's super lightweight. Really easy to maneuver. Snow plowing, nice tight, controlled turns were really, really nice. I give it a 4 out of 5. It doesn't want to go fast but you're supposed to be skiing in control in the beginner anyway. It's a great transition if you've been on a straight ski to start on a shaped ski. It is a really nice beginner ski. 4 out of 5.
