 Overview

The Salomon Gemma is a great ski for expert skiing women that can fly down any smooth groomer at fast speeds. The 85mm waist can be quick edge to edge, and will give you more support and stability when things get cruddy or bumpy. Salomon's Comfortech has fibers that dampen out vibrations before they reach your feet for smooth skiing. Carve Rocker has a small amount of rocker in the tip that initiate turns quickly for you, and camber underfoot that provides you will a high amount of rebound. The Gemma has Control Frame Technology that has a unique 3D shape that gives you the best edge grip possible at the contact points of your skis. Salomon's Semi-Sandwich Construction has a vertical sidewall underfoot that gives you a strong amount of edge grip, with a Monocoque cap on the tips and tails that improve the maneuverability of the ski. A Light Density Wood Core is very lively and snappy the helps the Gemma excel in short to medium radius turns. If you are an expert that wants a smooth ride for carving down a steep groomer, the Salomon Gemma is a perfect choice for you.

2016 Salomon Gemma Ski Review by Julie
Comments:
Hi, I'm Julie. I just got off the Salomon Gemma. I give this ski a 5 out of 5 star rating. I think it's an excellent ski. It does well at short radius turns. You can open it up and do a little bit longer radius turn but it definitely skis better at that shorter radius. It's a little bit wider ski but, again, it's really easy to roll that ski onto edge. It's like you think about turning and the ski does it for you. So, really smooth, really nice ski, great edge hold. 5 out of 5 stars.

2016 Salomon Gemma Ski Review by Linda
Comments:
Hi, I'm Linda. I just finished skiing the Salomon Gemma. I give this ski a 4 out of 5 stars. It's a really nice all-mountain advanced ski and I only give it a 4 because it's not my kind of ski. It's very soft. There's no rebound. If you're looking to cruise, do some nice quick turns without getting launched around too much it's going to be under your foot and right there but it doesn't really give anything back. So, have a fun time on an all-mountain and 4 out of 5 stars.

2016 Salomon Gemma Ski Review by Monica
Comments:
Hi, I'm Monica and I just got off riding the Gemma from the Constellation series from Salomon. I give this ski a 5 out of 5. It's for an intermediate to expert all-mountain. It's a little wider underfoot. I think you'd be very happy taking it anywhere. It's a great, fun ski. Held the turns. Floats on top of the snow. Carves when you want it to carve and it's very sure-footed. So, again, a 5 out of 5 for the Gemma.
