The Rossignol Unique is a great ski for the true beginner, or the young lady who is ready for her first set of adult skis. The RossiTop Cap Construction is very lightweight, forgiving and does not require very much technique, skill, or power to make the ski react when and how it should. A Composite Core of the Unique keeps the weight down to a minimum and the forgiveness to a maximum. Rossignol's Easy Drive Sidecut allows you to steer the ski to where you want to go without any resistance, or having to work too hard. The Unique has Power Turn Rocker that has a small amount of Tip Rocker that will initiate turns quickly, and the Camber underfoot will give you grip on the snow. If you are looking for a forgiving ski for the true beginner that is uniquely for you, the Rossignol Unique is the one to have.

Hi, I'm Brigitte and I just got off the Unique Xelium Ski from Rossignol. I give this ski a 4 out of 5. This is a good beginning ski for those green groomers and really turns well. It's pretty stable and I give it a 4 out of 5 stars.

2016 Rossignol Unique Ski Review by Annie
Comments:
Hi, I'm Annie and I just rode the Rossignol Unique Xelium. This is a beginner ski. It's a 156. You can even go a little shorter if you're just getting started. If a shaped ski is new to you, this would be an excellent ski. I'm going to give it a 5 out of 5. It was grippy. It didn't have any chatter. It would give you a great deal of confidence and you'd have a ton of fun especially if you're graduating from a straight ski to a shaped ski. If you're just starting out for the very first time skiing, it's lightweight, it is a really friendly ski and I know you'd love it. 5 out of 5.

2016 Rossignol Unique Ski Review by Marcia
Comments:
Hi, I'm Marcia. I just got off the Rossignol Unique Ski. I give this ski a 5 out of 5 stars. I think it's an excellent ski for an intermediate skier. It's also a ski that allows you to pick up speed to challenge your skills to take them to the next level. I feel it takes the turns really well. I felt in good control. It's a very stable ski for me. I think it's excellent for an intermediate skier. Again, 5 out of 5 stars.

2016 Rossignol Unique Ski Review by Julie
Comments:
Hi, I'm Julie. I just got off the Rossignol Unique. I give this ski a 5 out of 5 star rating. Thought it was an excellent ski for a beginner to intermediate. It's very lightweight and very easy to turn. It skis well from both a forward stance to a neutral stance and even if somebody that leans back a little bit. It skis well as in a wedge. Definitely allows you to make some skidded parallel turns. And just all around a great ski for that beginner to intermediate. 5 out of 5 stars.

2016 Rossignol Unique Ski Review by Jessica
Comments:
Hi, I'm Jessica and I just got off the Rosi Unique Xelium. I give this ski a 4 out of 5 star rating. This ski's gonna be good for your beginner to mellow-intermediate skier. When you get it up to speeds it does get a little chattery so that's why I give it the beginner mellow intermediate. It holds a good edge. It's very forgiving so if you're looking to learn or looking to get from that beginner into intermediate, this could be the ski for you.

Q: I am newer to skiing, but I used to ice skate and roller blade so I picked it up quickly. I'm able to do greens and blues without a problem. I'm able to do completely parallel turns. Would these skis work for me? I have done a couple blacks, but I need to really control my speed to be able to do them and don't feel comfortable doing them yet. I ski at Holiday Valley in New York.

A:If you are able to ski blues without a problem while making parallel turns, I do not think that this would be enough ski for you to improve. It is always nice to ski a ski with a skill level a little above where you are at, to allow for growth and improvement. The Unique is a bare bones beginner ski, and with your skating background you most likely have the leg and ankle strength to improve your abilities rather quickly. The Rossignol Temptation 75 or even up to the Rossignol Temptation 77 would be better options for you, and even give you better edge hold on the days that it can get icy at Holiday Valley.
