Rossignol S7 Skis

The S7 is aimed at big mountain riders who love exploring off trail. The award-winning,game-changing S7 provides amazing flotation and tracking, easy steering and speed control, and respectable skiing on the front side of the mountain considering its 115mm waist. The 2012 S7 features Rossignol's Powder Turn Rocker technology providing 50 percent camber under the foot while the tip and tail are rockered. This combination allows the camber under the foot to deliver more power to the edges thus improving rebound energy and edge grip on groomed snow. The high rocker tip produces more flotation and effortless powder skiing. In addition the high rocker tail is pin shaped for easy steering and instant speed control. Spoon Tip technology is perfect for effortless tracking in deep snow and provides excellent flotation. To improve the feel of the S7 Rossignol gives it a Centered Sidecut featuring a unique tapering tip and tail with a short side cut directly under the foot. The deep radius of the Centered Sidecut provides more power under the foot while the short length of the sidecut allows for improved steering and playfulness. Because backcountry powder hounds like to earn their turns, Rossignol uses Sandwich Laminate Construction around a wood core with carbon laminates to create a burly ski. The S7 will stay with you every turn from the lodge to the 50 foot cliff outside the out of bounds rope you ducked. When in these extreme conditions weight matters, so Rossignol included their Weight Reduction System in the S7 to maximize durability and reduce weight by concentrating the majority of the fiberglass wrap under the foot and reducing the density in the tip and tail. All in all the S7 is a super charged ski ready to take on everything the mountain has to throw at it.

Trey here. I just got off of the Rossignol S7. This was the best ski last year, it's still the best ski this year. I gave it a five out of five. You can do absolutely anything you want to do. It's definitely for that advanced intermediate to expert skier. Ski it anywhere on the mountain, happier in the backcountry, side country type skiing. It floats, it carves, it holds an edge. It's got rocker, put it all together and it works extremely well, great ski.

Hi this is Thom. I'm here with the Rossignol S7. I give this guy a five out of five. For a ski as wide as it is with the rocker it's just really playful. You can make any turn shape you want on it. It's incredibly stable for that really truly all mountain skier that's looking to stay away from anything hard pack as much as possible but realizes that traverses occur and you need to get from place to place. When the snow is not the best you can be real happy with this and it's gonna go everywhere and do everything for you.

Comments about Rossignol S7 Skis 2012:
Hi I'm Steve and I just got off the Rossignol S7. I give this ski 3 1/2 out of 5 stars. It was a little too wide and a little too sluggish for me from turn to turn. I don't think this is quite the ski for me. I like the S3, I think that was a great ski. This one's a little wider, a little stiffer, little heavier and I found it a little difficult on harder pack conditions. I'm sure it would be wonderful on powder but I don't know if this is really as versatile a ski as the S3 is. At least for a guy like me, so I give it 3 1/2 out of 5 stars.

I'm Kyle here, I just got off the Rossignol regular S7. This ski is a fun ski. it's a lot softer than the Super 7 so it makes it more playful and definitely more poppy and stuff like that. This ski would be great for somebody looking to do more, maybe tricks and stuff like that. This ski would be great for someone looking for a more playful ski. I give this ski a 4/5.

Hey I'm Kevin. I just got off the Rossignol S7. I really love this ski and I own a pair. This is one of my personal all time favorite skis. Very, very forgiving, very stable. You can put this in any kind of turn shape you want too; longer turns, short turns and medium turns. If you want to kick the tail out you can do that very easily on this ski. With the amptek camber under foot, rocker tip an tail. The taper in the tip and tail makes this ski very, very easy. Definitely want to ski something a little bit longer. I'm 150 pounds, I I actually own the 178 in the older version. This is the 88, biggest difference is they like a little more slalom turns, this is a little more GS turns so you can kind of put it to length to suit what type of turn style you prefer. Great ski, five out of five stars hands down.

Jeff here with new Rossignol S7. This thing is absolutely phenomenal on a day like today. I haven't been able to get my chance to get into some deep snow but let me tell you if you have to get from the groomers to your fun place this is absolutely the ski that can do it. You know unfortunately, we have some loose snow pack today, it still holds an amazing edge grip. Obviously this is not a quick turn ski, let it open up let it go fast and just hang on because that's all you can do. I give this ski a five out of five stars. The way it's built with all the rocker and everything gives you some deep snow and just let me have a good time.
Comments about Rossignol S7 Skis 2012:
This is Hans, I just got off the Rossignol S7. As you can see this is a powder ski. A lot of rocker, wider underneath the foot with a narrow tail so it floats better for the conditions. Today were skiing a little bit of blue snow hard pack that would give it a 3/5 but this ski is excellent in powder.

It will ski through just about anything from the big groomers through the powder. You can cut through any crud that you want to. It's a really good ski just to do anything you want with.

Comments about Rossignol S7 Skis 2012:
This ski has rocker camber rocker profile that works really well all over the mountain. It excels best in the powder but you can get back to the chairlift on groomers with ease. Having the wider part of the tip back farther it will cut through the deep snow and lift you up faster keeping it easier for you to turn and gain speed quickly. The 115 under foot isn't too wide to rock all over the mountain. It's a softer ski then the Super 7. Softer to play around with it and flex a little more in the deep stuff. Even having the rocker on the groomers helps you transfer into turns and makes it such a smooth and easy ride. Let's face it, the more easy things are, the more fun you will have.
