I'm a fan of rollerblade brand. Fits my feet much better than K2 skates. I've been in the same (middle-of-the-road) pair of rollerblades for the past 5 years, putting 25+ miles per week on them. I wanted to upgrade to a more "professional" pair and get bigger, faster wheels. I read the reviews on these and took the plunge. When they arrived, they came with the brake detached, which I was able to finagle on... but I couldn't get the attaching bolt through the hole in the wheel and frame, as a little piece of metal was in the way. I called customer service and even the rep couldn't figure out what to tell me - she had to transfer me to the buyer. (By then, I'd figured out it was like a Chinese puzzle where you had to shake the skate just right to move the piece out of the way.)
Then there was the fit... my right big toe seemed to rub up against the edge of the skate. I couldn't figure out why.... my previous pair was the same size, same brand. The laces tighten at the bend in your foot that's a little uncomfortable. I again called customer service. They said to give it a while, as the fit formed to your foot. I said okay. (I finally determined my laces needed to be tighter over the toes in order for my foot not to move forward so much.) I love the stability of these skates. They're hard to get on and off, but the performance makes it worth it. Great over uneven pavement.
