If you are looking for a ski that has a little bit of everything and can do it all look no further than the Line Prophet 98. An 98mm waist is wide enough for you to spend most of your time off pieste, but can still rip the groomers up. The Line Metal Matrix gives the 98 tons of torsional and lateral stiffness without adding the weight that skis that have edge to edge metal do. 63mm of Early Rise in the tip will help this ski float in the pow, smooth out your ride in the crud, and turn quickly on the groomers. Early Rise in the tail will help you smear your turns and dump speed when it is time to point it off of a drop. Line's Fatty Base Edge is a 30% thicker base that will make it harder for you put a core shot on your bases, even over the nastiest cheese grater rock, and increase the tuning life of your ski. The 5Cut Side Cut has five different sizes of side cut to give you the ability to vary you turn sizes and shapes with ease. If you are not afraid to ski a 98mm wasted ski on the groomers and spend most of your time in the ungroomed stuff the Line Prophet 98 is a solid choice.

Comments about Line Prophet 98 Skis:

Hey this is Hunter here, I just got off the Prophet 98, an I give this ski 5/5 stars. It's for your aggressive all mountain charger who prefers edge grip over float. Wants something that all conditions even if it's icy, or bulletproof is gonna give them grip they need. Great example of what you can do with camber, and a little bit of early rise in the tip. This ski takes some effort, and rewards that effort. If your a little more timid skier who wants something you can ski all day without putting in the same effort, the Prophet 90's a great choice. It fits right below this in the lineup in terms of waist size, and really skier ability. If you want the max all the time the 98's a great choice. If you want something a little more forgiving, but still aggressive the 90's the ski for you.

Comments about Line Prophet 98 Skis:

I'm Brad, I just got off the Line Prophet 98. Definitely my favorite out of the Prophet Line so far. I'm actually gonna give this one a 5/5. All the other skis in the line didn't really impress me. The 98 was super snappy underfoot, as snappy as the 85, or the 90, had a lot more stability, a lot more float. One sheet of titanium in it definitely makes it damp, I can ski at high speeds. Definitely for your more advanced, expert rider. Like I said, it needs some speed to hold that grip, and that turn. Short turns, long turns, pow, groomers, I was actually really impressed with how well an all mountain ski like this, skied like.

2013 Line Prophet 98 Ski Review

Comments about Line Prophet 98 Skis:

Hi, Tom here, with the Line Prophet 98, give this ski 5/5. This really is your one ski that can do everything. Its incredibly stable, tons of edge hold, but for 98 underfoot, it still remains really nimble. Engages really easy, its got great grip on the hard pack. Its wide enough, and the slight tip rocker adds a little bit of forgiveness, adds some versatility for softer snow, bumps, crud. Its a little stiff for your intermediate skiers. Anything from an advanced skier, through an expert skier, thats looking for one ski, regardless of the conditions, this is it.

2013 Line Prophet 98 Ski Review

Comments about Line Prophet 98 Skis:

What's going on Jeff here. Line Prophet 98. This ski has changed a little bit from last year. Its got a little bit more of their half structure wall so it makes it a lot more sturdy. It's really locked in underneath your foot. This is a really fun ski. It's metal matrix on it gives it a ton of pop a ton of stability and just a great firm grip on the snow. This thing is an absolute riot to ride. It's little bit of early rise makes it just super nimble. Edge initiates really well, if you want to go slam tree, you want to go do pow. Whatever you want to do this is going to be a great ski for you. 5 out of 5.

2013 Line Prophet 98 Ski Review

By Adam P

Comments about Line Prophet 98 Skis:

I'm Adam, and I was just out skiing on the Line Prophet 98. This is a classic ski from them as well, it should be 4/5. Very predictable, nice quick, easy edge to edge for short turns, stable at long turns. Wide enough with that all mountain, do everything width, at 98 underfoot. Little bit of tip rocker helps it float, very versatile ski, 4/5.

      A:

Any binding with a 100mm or 110mm brake will work well with the Line Prophet 98's. I would recommend the Marker Griffons.
