The Liberty Origin 96 is a ripping ski for strong skiers looking for versatility anywhere on the mountain. The Origin 96 uses Liberty's Speedcore that is Bamboo with Poplar Laminates that are extremely lightweight, durable, and lively that give you stability as you charge down the mountain with the maneuverability to turn on a dime to dip in and out of the trees for your private pow stash. The 96mm waist has the perfect blend of carveabilty for the days you are cruising the groomers and flotation on the days when it has been dumping. Really nice ski. I own the 187 cm, I am 6'4" 240LBS. Great one ski quiver with soft snow bias. Read Blister review of ski, very accurate. Tune like a race ski, 0.5 deg base,3 deg side, and detune tips and tails back to contact point. Ski wi...Read More

This ski is awesome. Best ski I have ever owned. Great versatility in both the heavy pacific northwest powder and the groomers. Solid. No complaints.

Q: are there any data on rocker profile how far back it comes...I see it has 70mm or so of rocker ht at the tip coming down to 6mm to end of rocker tip - how far...the tail is 35mm at 3mm - how far pulled back. What size did Bob get and what size is Bob. I'm 5'10 215 looking at 187 in Origin 96 or 181 MB Am comparing to J Skis MasterBlaster

A:Liberty does not provide exact specs for the rocker profile. That being said, the tip rocker is about 1/5 of the running length of the ski and the tail rocker 1/6 of the running length of the ski. The overall rise is relatively minimal (prior to the til/tail flair) and relatively equal to the camber, around 4-5mm. These skis are definitely directional in overall feel as well. All in all they are quite similar in shape to the Masterblaster. Having skied these, and being similar in size to you, the 187 is the correct length unless you are mainly concerned with tight fall line turns.
