 Overview

The K2 Kinetic 80 inline skates offer a lot of features in a lower priced skate. Many of the same features that make K2's high end skates stand out can be found in the Kinetic 80 including K2's softboot technology, stability plus cuff, speedlacing and more. The K2 softboot and stability plus cuff work in perfect harmony to provide both comfort and support making this a great skate for both the beginner skater as well as the skater bridging the gap between beginner and intermediate. Making it quick and easy to put on the skates and start skating is a speedlace system which offers one quick pull and lock to get going, and an even more rewarding pull and release to get the skates off after a lengthy skate. The K2 Kinetic 80 inline skates are here to offer you an inexpensive way to get into a great inline skate.

  • K2 Softboot
  • Stability Plus Cuff
  • K2 inline skates fit the same as your everyday athletic shoe size

Q: what is the weight limit? i weigh 230lbs-250lbs of not these, which do you recommend?

A: Inline skate companies do not post weight limits on their skates but there is a science behind choosing a skate for durability. This skate offers a composite frame which is not ideal for 200+ lb skaters, you are going to want to go with a slightly higher end skate that will offer a more durable metal frame. Skates like the Rollerblade Maxxum 90 or K2 Uptown would be great choices, these are urban skates so they offer a more durable design as they are made to take some abuse. An urban skate would be a great choice as you get a great skate built to last. You end up spending a bit more but it is well worth it in the long run, or skate.

Q: I bought these skates ( I didnt know they were for men :-/ ) and I've learned how to skate with them and have been skating 6 miles almost every day for 2 months on a running track around baseball/soccer fields. The wheels are severely worn down on the inside and I need to purchase more wheels and I guess bearings and the tool to remove them? But I see you have the skates on your site, but not the replacement wheels (I went through all of them). So being that I put approx 150 miles per month on them, and you don't carry the wheels that come with the K2 Kinetic 80mm ABEC 5 Skates, which wheels/bearings/tool should I purchase to replace mine? A: Wow, that's a lot of skating, good for you! You may not see the exact model of wheel on the site but we do sell great replacements that will fit and work great on your skates. The Kinetic 80 will accept any inline skate wheel that is 80mm or lower in size. we offer many great replacements from K2 and Rollerblade. Most are sold without the bearings and you can use your current ones as long as they are working well for you. I will paste the link here for the wheels that will fit your skates. For the proper tool, just search "Skate Tool" in the search box and you will see them. I use the Rollerblade 3 in 1 tool and it works really well. Best luck! http://www.inlineskates.com/inline-skate-wheels/601,default,sc.html?prefn1=Inv_Size&prefv1=80mm

Q: I am shoe size 8 1/2 what size i should get 8 or9

Know the answer? Answer this question

A: It truly depends on the desired fit that you are looking for. If you want a very tight athletic fit you can go with the size 8. Since this is a beginner level skate you may be looking for a more comfortable fit where the size 9 will be a better fit. Inline skates are going to fit very similar to your standard athletic shoe size, so if you have a favorite pair of cross trainers or running shoes you can base your size off that.
