 Overview

The AMP Rictor 82 XTi is designed for the advanced to expert skier to have stability and control on the front side of the mountain. The 82mm waist carves great, and will give you additional support in light off trail skiing, or in crud. The Rictor 82 has All Terrain Rocker that has a rockered tip that will absorb negative vibrations, and initiate turns easier for you. K2's Hybritech Sidewall construction has a slight cap construction in the tips and tails to make the ski more maneuverable, and a vertical sidewall on the majority of the ski for extra edge hold. A Carbon Web uses a woven structure of carbon on the mid-body of the ski to increase the torsional strength and provide more edge contact especially on firm conditions. The core of the Rictor 82 is made from Aspen/Paulownia wood that has a lively and springy feeling, and a metal laminate increases the power and stability the ski has. If you are an expert skier looking for value and performance for a sturdy all mountain ride, the K2 Rictor 82 XTi makes a great selection.

Best All Mountain Ski Ever
Comments:
I purchased this ski on reviews and not sorry I did. I bought the narrow (82mm) waist with sidewall construction for Northest skiing and survived icy days at Mount Snow and Windham. The rocker tip floated me through powder days (on piste) at Cortina and Whistler. Even skiing crud and wet concrete, they performed well. Very forgiving as I crossed tips, leaned back too far and overweighted outside edge. Each time I was able to recover and keep skiing. Although I've skied for over 30 years, this was my best year ever as these skis really increased my confidence. (I don't do bumps unless there's no other way out. For that I wish these skis were 5-10 cm shorter)

Q: What binding would you recommend to use with this ski?

Know the answer? Answer this question

A: The Marker Griffon, Tyrolia Attack 13, or Salomon STH WTR 13 all make great bindings for this ski. The 90mm brake size is the perfect fit.

Q: How does this perform on bumps?
Asked : Feb 02, 2016

Know the answer? Answer this question

A: The Rictor 82 XTi is a fair ski in the bumps, nothing mind blowing, but holds its own. The rocker in the tip will deflect vibrations, and the 80mm waist has a very edgy and nimble feeling.
