If you love to be outdoors but the winter weather makes it a bit of challenge, you can hit the local trails with a pair of Fischer Spider 62 Cross Country Skis and get plenty of fresh air in the middle of January. The Spider 62 is designed a little shorter than other cross country skis to help add stability and control. Regardless of the terrain and snow conditions, these skis will perform very well. The Nordic Rocker Camber profile provides a shovel-effect for easier turning quicker with less effort. Combined with Speed Grinding technology, you'll have perfect gliding properties in all snow conditions. The Air Tec Core creates a lighter weight ski without sacrificing strength and surface pressure distribution. Whether heading out solo or going with friends, cross country skiing is a ton of fun especially on a pair of the Fischer Spider 62 Cross Country Skis.

bad for in- and off track
Comments:
These skis are short but still skinny. Because of the reduced length, they are slower than expected in the groomed tracks. But the narrow design also causes them to sink off-track. They are useless on natural snow. I am 5'11'', 165lbs.

I can't think of a positive...they haven't broken yet? In fact, that's also a negative, because now I have no excuse to get another set.

Q: I already have a set of NNN bindings and boots. will they work with the BC skis?

Know the answer? Answer this question

A: As long as the bindings and boots you have are in good working order they will be fine with these skis. For true backcountry skiing it is recommended to use a BC binding and boot as the binding will be a bit more durable and the boots will offer a bit more support, so if this is what you are looking to do it may be time to upgrade the whole package.

Q: What are the differences between the 2013 and 2014 models? Just the paint job? I know there was an overhaul in 2012 from the silent spider.

Know the answer? Answer this question

A: The only major change from 2013 to 2014 is a graphical facelift.
